Hi, I am a british citizen living in italy, my wife just applied for a carta di soggiorno of a family member of a eu citizen, anyone who has recieved this documents recently, does it come in a paper format or card ?

I’m surprise to see British citizen to italy…format is “paper” and for have this “resident card” en italian “carta di soggiorno” you have to go into home office=ufficio immigrazioni and cost about 16€ obviously if you work is easy for have this paper. it’s more hard here to England i know for experienced this

Did you get this card before? I read online that i must pay something small extra like 27.50 euro at the post office for the electronic card?

Yes I did this card before, you don’t have to go at poste office but at home office=ufficio stranieri and pay just 16 euro which (marca da bollo)

Ok, So the electronic format they Do NOT issue you it. ONLY paper? can i ask what does it look like, similiar to italian ID card and what writing does it have at the front?
Id card you can have electronic but just some council have possibly for electronic (plastic)
For what I know me resident card it’s just paper
How long did your carta di siorgonro take?
1 month? 2 months?
